Chapter 4. Right Word, Right Place

"So then you are no longer strangers and sojourners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure is joined together and grows into a holy temple in the Lord; in whom you also are built into it for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit." (Ephesians 2:19-22)

If checking your scripture references has been confusing thus far it is because you do not have a correct translation in your hand. Unless you use the words which the Holy Spirit inspired in the apostles you will continue to be deceived exactly as the church intended. Take a few minutes to change the words now. Here is a list of Bible verses containing the word "church" or "churches" requiring correct translation. This is not the time to compare various English versions of the Bible, there are many books and Internet sites dedicated to that subject. But if you are using a very poor or error filled translation like the New International Version, one of the Roman Catholic translations or a paraphrase such as the Living Bible (which is not the Word of God at all), then get rid of it. I personally use more than one translation for insight and cross reference, namely the Revised or New Revised Version, with reference to Tyndale, the New King James, and a Greek/English interlinear (word for word, side by side literal translation). Whichever you choose for yourself make sure the word "church" is obliterated from it. This will not mean that you will be free of this deception overnight. Far from it. Rome was not unmade in a day. Whether Christian or non-Christian, most people (outside the enforced literary darkness of Islam and a few communist countries) have been relentlessly shelled with the word church tens of thousands of times, in all its meanings. If you have any kind of church background you will have been bombarded hundreds of thousands of times. You may have been suckled on this indoctrination. So it will take thousands of corrections to put it right in your head and heart, and the rest of this book will be unremitting and unmerciful with the word, to put it straight repeatedly. If you think this is church bashing, you are right. It was thumped into you; now it must be hammered out if you are ever to experience the freedom promised by Christ.

Listed below is every instance of the word ekklesia in the New Testament, using the King James or so-called "Authorized" translation, since that was the edition first issued to subvert Tyndale. Various Bibles also contain the word "church" in the Old Testament, a similar error because there is no Hebrew equivalent either. Such instances are rare and can easily be corrected in the same way. Tyndale himself favored the English word congregation for the Greek ekklesia. Congregation has unfortunately acquired an almost exclusively religious or churchy connotation "especially for religious worship, people regularly attending a particular church." (Oxford Dictionary) This is not the meaning of ekklesia in the Greek, in which it was applied to any public assembly or gathering, private meeting or specific calling out of people. Any of those terms will suffice to replace the incorrect church (kyriakon) inserted in your Bible. The very context of each verse gives away the intent or meaning of ekklesia. Do not be afraid to authorize your own Bible in this way. The word "church" is absolutely incorrect, a deliberate and wicked substitution, and any word such as gathering, assembly, meeting, or even elect (called out) would be better if you are to come to an understanding of the word of truth.
