Chapter 22. Separation & Destruction

Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! It has become a dwelling place of demons, a haunt of every foul spirit…for all nations have drunk the wine of her impurity and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her…Come out of her my people lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her plagues…and she shall be burned with fire…in one hour she has been laid waste…Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God, for his judgments are true and just; he has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication, and he has avenged on her the blood of his servants…the marriage of the Lamb has come, and the Bride has made herself ready; it was granted her to be clothed in fine linen, white and pure…I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse! He who sat upon it is called Faithful and True…and the name by which he is called is the Word of God…from his mouth issues a sharp sword with which to smite the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron; he will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has a name inscribed, King of kings and Lord of lords." (Revelation 18:1 – 19:16)

Thus Christ will appear, destroying the wicked with the breath of his mouth, starting with the Roman son of perdition, and catching his sheep up to himself in the air as he comes. (1 Thessalonians 4:15,16; 2 Thessalonians 2:8) It costs tens of millions of dollars for one person to see the world from a NASA space shuttle. The elect will fly for free, no oxygen masks required, in bodies never again wearied by gravity, unbent by the arc of centrifugal rush as they arrive with Him. The sheep are following in his train right now, but the finish will be the ride of their lives, the arrival of the people of God, from Abraham to the thief from the cross, Esther to Lydia, Noah to Tyndale, Elijah to the faithful truck driver who lives near you, the whole cloud of witnesses, the entire house not made with hands. The goats will be ruled in eternal wrath. For an understanding of why they are not destroyed in oblivion; why they continue to exist forever in wrath, refer to God & Evil in the Addendum of this book, a subject avoided or excused by Christians. The demons know this is to come, and they quake. Church goats continue in ignorance as though all was well, dead to the fear of God and the approaching fire. They will not be ready for this white hot shock, for their eyes are blind and ears deaf, and they have not been chosen or granted the right clothes for the King’s marriage feast. (Matthew 22:11-14) "Many shall purify themselves, and make themselves white, and be refined; but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand; but those who are wise shall understand." (Daniel 12:10) The French humanist and often fearless writer had no idea how right he was when he said, "Civilization will not attain to its perfection until the last stone of the last church falls on the last priest." (Emile Zola, 1840-1902) Strange that a quote worthy of Isaiah should come from an unbeliever’s pen because this is exactly what is going to happen when the Lamb of God arrives.

I’ll say this one final time, if you have ears to hear, do not attempt to reform, repair or resuscitate the Christian church; remove your body and soul from it. Take the advice that John the Baptist confirmed to the sneaky churchmen who came to hear him from a distance, suspecting he really was a prophet of God: "Flee from the wrath to come!" (Matthew 3:7) Stick your fingers in your ears like John Bunyan and run away from the house made with hands toward the celestial city shouting, "Life, life, eternal life!" You are commanded to come out, to separate. "Blessed are they who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates. Outside are the dogs and wizards and fornicators and murderers and idolaters, and every one who loves falsehood." (Revelation 22:14,15) Do not be left behind, outside in the dark, where all hell will break loose, where not only billions of rank pagans but the whole harlot of Christendom, child-molesting celibate priests, ordained lesbians, substituting vicars, fornicating movie idols, adulterous royalty, sabbath worshippers, Christmas-keepers and sacrament eaters will flay each other and their deceiving clergy in unforgiving, never-ending anguish and regret. The Antichrist whose church has brought tribulation for the saints for well over a thousand years is now. The desecrating Eucharist is now, and hundreds of millions will celebrate it this coming Sunday. Do not delay. God is dividing the wheat from church chaff right now, and the empty husks will be left behind and cast in the flames. (Luke 3:17) The last sheep to enter the flock, the last one whom the Father gave to the Son, will soon step into the kingdom and that will be The End; time will be dissolved, the universe wrapped up by the appearance of the Man with scars.

Separate yourself and seek others who know and follow the Way. They may be only a handful in your town, but they know who they are, they know Him and He knows them. You must exercise discerning judgment and separate from the false teaching that calls itself Christian. It is not the pagans who deceive and substitute in Jesus’ name, it is the church. Come out. "Keep away" from those supposed "brothers" and hireling shepherds, those hollow busybodies with gifts of administration who lord it over their goats and do not pay their way or earn their own living. (2 Thessalonians 3:6-12) "Avoid such people" who have that "form of religion," empty vessels full of noise who "will listen to anybody and never arrive at a knowledge of the truth…of corrupt mind and counterfeit faith" who "will not get very far, their folly soon plain to all." (2 Timothy 3:5-9) The kyriakons are packed with them, lovers of the prosperity gospel, hands caught in the cash box like Judas, married to the church and to each other many times over, adulterers in body and in soul. "Be sure of this, no impure person nor one who covets (whatever his idol) has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God…do not associate with them…walk as children of light…learn what is pleasing to the Lord…take no part in unfruitful works of darkness but instead expose them…Wake up sleeper! Rise from the dead, and Christ shall give you light." (Ephesians 5:5-14) Do not be "mismatched with unbelievers," no mixing of Christ with Baal’s paganism; there is no such ecumenical common ground for the elect, absolutely no blending the house made with hands with the household of God. (2 Corinthians 6:16) "For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, ‘I will live in them and move among them, and I will be their God and they shall be my people. Therefore come out from them and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch nothing unclean; and then I will welcome you, and will be a Father to you, and you shall be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.’" (2 Corinthians 6:16-18)

The atheists are right when they say "religion is the opiate of the masses," and Christianity is a "prop." If you are waking up and find the harlot’s cup or church crutches in your hands then throw them away and stand up straight. Cry out for the stand-alone faith of the saints before you. This may cost you dearly. It may mean separation from family to real family. "Think not that I came to bring peace to earth, I came not to bring peace but a sword…And a man’s foes shall be those of his own household…he that loves father or mother more than me…son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me…He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for my sake will find it." (Matthew 10:37-39) Do not find your life in the church or keep it there. Do not lose your life for the church, or any other human cause, as millions of Christians have done and are regretting it right now in the outer darkness. They know all too well that real wealth and treasure is held in Christ alone, not in a house made with hands, and they have eternity to think about it. If you are drunk in the teaching of church, sipping from the harlot’s cup, spew it out. Ask for your real family to be revealed. It is not Mother Mary, nor is it Mother Church. Jesus made that plain as day in front of Mary and the other children she had borne with Joseph. "Here are my mother, and my brothers! For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and my sister and mother." (Matthew 12:46-50)

Find the remnant, saved by grace. It does not matter how few they may be, even two or three in your neighborhood; that is your real family and fellowship, that is your ekklesia. Converge whenever convenient, as will be the natural desire; do not neglect to assemble with this family and body. This, and only this, is your "house of living stones." (1 Peter 2:5) Not neglecting to gather together has nothing to do with the kyriakon, the church building, church denomination, church membership, physical house of god, or any other pagan invention, or its precious sabbath. As Arthur Pink put it, "Now in Matthew 7:14 the Lord Jesus declares there are ‘few’ who find the narrow way which leads to life and were I to tell you that these ‘few’ are much fewer than nearly all the Bible teachers, preachers and evangelists of this day believe, you might think I was too pessimistic. Again, in Luke 12:32 Christ declares that God’s ‘flock’ is a little one; and were I to tell you that it is probably much smaller than you now suppose…there are multitudes who call themselves Christians who have never passed from death to life spiritually." "It is only as one comes to learn this personally, that one gradually discovers and discerns how empty and worthless is much of the zeal, toil, and activity which is going on in the religious realm; that, after all, it is but the energy of the flesh with a coat of religious paint over it." "My earnest advice is for you to have little or nothing to do with the people of the religious world today. They cannot help you spiritually and where they help not, are bound to hinder. But be much in prayer and on your guard against a holier-than-thou-attitude. If we are not very watchful, separation soon leads to self-righteousness. On the other hand, association with empty professors soon corrupts and paralyzes true spirituality. Prayer, reading and meditation will do far more for your soul - with God’s blessing on the same - than attending meetings and being active in ‘Christian service’." (The Letters of A.W. Pink, to Lowell Green, 1933-4)

Churchmen would have us assemble with them when they reject the Word, ordain priests, invent clergy-served sacraments, condone all manner of sin, and do not even know the way to the narrow gate! They run to a pastor for advice instead of to the Word. Even kin would have us do that, enter that comfortable circle. Forgive them for they know not what they do, but without compromise. Blood kin are important, and they pull fiercely at our hearts, yet they are nothing in comparison to the love He demands of us. Get out of the kyriakon and find the ekklesia now. Rome is not unmade in a day, but it can start now. Flee to the hills and get away from that house where once again, when He comes, there will not be one stone left standing upon another. If you are clergy get rid of those silly pagan clothes and get a proper support job; if you are retired clergy cry out for forgiveness, even the penitent thief on the cross received that at the last moment. Get rid of those dreadful Christian bumper-stickers. Throw away those Christian books that lead to the church, unless you are studying them to know your enemy. Do not put them in a garage sale for some unsuspecting person. Do not sell your Christmas ornaments to goats for their trees, destroy them and buy no more. Leave the rosary counting and navel gazing testimonies and "spiritual exercises" to the goats. Wrestle with the Word, learn the Word, obey the Word, and find others who do likewise.

This is what Scripture means by the chosen people. They are not an earthly race. None of the Jewish people are elect who do not believe. The apostle Paul explains clearly throughout Romans chapter 11 that they have been "given a spirit of stupor" and cut off from faith, as John the Baptist prophesied to the priests, making way for the Gentiles. Jews are indeed blessed because of the promise that God made to their forefathers, they have a special place because through this tiny nation came the Word; but being "chosen" in this way as an earthly race does not mean election to salvation. It is but a shadow of the real thing. Paul says that "not all of Israel are of Israel." (Romans 9:5-7) Indeed, looking at Elijah’s remnant, or the few that followed Jesus while thousands backed off when His words became too strong for them, shows that not many were of Israel at all, and especially not the churchmen whom Jesus berated for thinking they were Abraham’s descendants. The flesh counts for nothing, it is the Spirit that gives life. Old Israel as a race, the shadow of the substance to come, is finished and done with, just like the Passover, Temple, altar and priests. It’s over. That is not to say that no more Jews can believe. Their awakening and inclusion back into the tree or vine is often remarkable. I’ve seen this in Israel, when a well-versed Jew is awakened to all the old scriptures that he has been carrying around in his head. It’s amazing. Christians and their earthly houses of God need exactly the same thing to happen to them if they are to escape their shroud of darkness and the coming wrath. Yes, they are in the gloom by the decree of the Almighty, "God sends upon them a strong delusion," that they will be blinded to Satan and his puppet Antichrist, and therefore be obliterated. (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12) Do not be deceived by the end-times prophets who fill the Christian bookstores, watching every move made in the Middle East, waiting vainly for yet another earthly temple and a distant man of sin. That is another of Satan’s sideshows, a terrible squabble over a piece of earthly dust which Christians think is "holy." It is a masterful diversion from his ace card, the church, and its master, the real son of perdition. The true Is-ra-el (people of God) is being revealed now, from the beginning to the end, the elect whom the Father gave to the Son, from every tribe and nation. Jesus is not just the King of the Jews but the King of kings, the Son of Man, his favorite reference to himself. The elect, who believe with gift-faith and bear the right fruit, are the true children of Abraham. There is no election outside of this.

Toward this destiny and revelation our crippled and decaying world is wobbling through space. "For the creation waits for eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God…the whole creation has been groaning in labor until now, and not only the creation but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly, and wait for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies." (Romans 8:19-23) Do not let the environmentalist "experts" fool you with their talk of a world that can achieve natural balance if left alone. Whether man interferes or withholds, something always goes wrong. First he kills too many of a species, then protects them so that they become pests. First he burns clearings, cuts trees and loses vast areas of forest; then he refrains from fighting natural fires as prescribed by "scientists," and loses vast areas of forest. Ever since sin entered the world in the first garden the earth has been shuddering, suffering and trying to reach some settlement, but unable to do so on its own. By all means be a good steward, but without false hope, for no matter what we do or how good our efforts it will still malfunction. It has never been in balance since the Fall, and will fight itself until The RepairMan comes. This little planet is slowing down, each orbit a fraction of a second less than the one before, but it will not end in the sun but the Son. "When a woman is in labor she has sorrow, because her hour has come; but when she is delivered of the child, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a child is born into the world. So you will have sorrow now, but I will see you again and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you." (John 16:21,22)

See to it that the hirelings and churchmen do not sneak in through the back door to steal your joy. Consider one last time: the church is a field of weeds with some wheat unfortunately and temporarily caught in it; the ekklesia is a field of wheat, perhaps only a sheaf of wheat, with a few weeds that have crept in. Do not be found in the field of tares, stifled, growing bent and twisted in frustration. You cannot profit there, surrounded by goats. Do not offer up the excuse that you are in their house to "make a difference" when you are in fact comfortable in that pew, happily eating at the trough. If you know the truth and declare it they will surely throw you out, like the Lord before you, in no time. Why wait? Come out of her right now, uproot yourself. Run the gauntlet of the churches, every single one of them. "Complicity with error will take from the best of men the power to enter any successful protest against it. It is our solemn conviction that if there can be no real spiritual communion, there should be no pretense of fellowship. Fellowship with known and vital error is participation in sin. As soon as I saw, or thought I saw, that error had become firmly established, I did not deliberate but quitted the body at once. Since then my counsel has been, ‘Come out from among them.’ I have felt that no protest could be equal to that of distinct separation from known evil. That I might not stultify my testimony I have cut myself clear from those who err from the faith and even from those who associate with them. Cost what it may to separate ourselves from those who separate themselves from the truth of God is not alone our liberty, but our duty." (Charles Spurgeon, The Sword and the Trowel)

Run the race. Find others to run with if possible; if absolutely necessary run alone, albeit surrounded by that cloud of witnesses, in extremely exalted company. In truth the elect are never alone. We are all prone to think this, as Moses did, and Isaiah, Jeremiah, Jonah, even John the Baptist in prison. And if you are indeed alone for a time then drink the cup of the One abandoned in the olive grove of Gesthemane, sweating blood for his sheep. Do not give in if the church comes out after you at night, that self-perpetuating fraud which holds millions in chains. It is exasperating, what they do, and the isolation that may ensue. But, "Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility, that you may not grow weary or fainthearted…Therefore let us go forth to him outside the camp and bear the abuse he endured. For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city which is to come." (Hebrews 12:3; 13:13,14) Wave no flag of truce. I readily admit I squandered years of my life doing that, trying to cooperate, and I will have to answer for that waste; years of horrible frustration, searching scripture, surprising discoveries, shocks and wake-ups, and observation of the beast, what it did to me, and many dear to me. No more. Do not be conformed to them or confirmed by them. Do not insist on finding out the hard way that the church is not the destiny of the elect. God has predestined his people to discipleship, not churchmanship, to be like Christ, to be "conformed to the image of his Son" who will renew their minds to know what is right. (Romans 8:29; 12:2) It is a done deal, ransomed, called, justified, cleaned up and sealed. Their destiny is invincible. The call of God is "irrevocable" and he simply will not let go of His own. (Romans 11:29; John 6:37-39; 10:27-30) The churches hate this so much they have even invented doctrines and rites to "shun" or "excommunicate" those who do not conform to them, vainly imagining they have such a power. God laughs at their impotence. Laugh with Him. They have no such rule or authority, except over goats and in their own minds. Read carefully and digest:

"What then shall we say to this? If God is for us then who is against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all, will he not also give us all things with him? Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect?…For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor popes, nor cardinals, nor bishops, nor vicars, nor rectors, nor pastors, nor elders, nor synods, nor councils, nor Catholics, nor Anglicans, nor Protestants, nor Reformers, nor Puritans, nor Presbyterians, nor Baptists, nor Pentecostals, nor any other cults or sects in all Churchdom will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus." (Adapted from Romans 8:31-39)

"No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and the church." (Adapted from Matthew 6:24)

"You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God."…"Blessed are you Simon Bar-Jona! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven…and on this rock I will build my gathering, and the forces of Christianity shall not prevail against it." (Adapted from Matthew 16:18)

He who has ears, let him hear: the Son sets you free.
