"Bring no more vain offerings new moon and sabbath and the calling of assemblies I cannot endure sin and solemn assembly your feasts my soul hates when you spread forth your hands I will hide my eyes from you even though you make prayers I will not listen wash yourselves and make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your doings from my eyes; cease to do evil, learn to do good " (Isaiah 1:13-17) "I hate, I despise your feasts, and take no delight in your solemn assemblies...Take away from me the noise of your songs; to the melody of your harps I will not listen. But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream." (Amos 5:21-24) "In vain do you worship me, teaching as truth the traditions of men." (Jesus, Mark 7:6-8; Matthew 15:8,9) The Sabbath Scam Neglecting to meet together...in church Are you waving your hands around because, like the charismatic in the next pew, you think that it shows you to be more "enthusiastic" and pleases God? It doesn't. Are you listening to a solemn choir or an "updated" rock band raving in church? God isn't. Read the verses above carefully and understand this, God is not the slightest bit impressed with what goes on in church, especially on the so-called Sabbath. Christians are engrossed in "going to church" or "church membership" and asking each other their well-worn guilt question, "Where were you last Sunday?" without the slightest idea that God is not interested, looking away, busy somewhere else teaching and illuminating an entirely different flock. Churchmen will especially pull out their favourite Scripture verse, "Do not neglect to meet together," (Hebrews 10:25) without realizing that it has absolutely nothing to do with Church or Sabbath, and that the grand Letter to the Hebrews is in fact the absolute death knell of churchdom! Did you know that the word "church" is not in the Bible? It may be in your altered translation but it's not in the original texts. Did you know that it is most definitely not the "House of God" but the "house of god," a different power altogether? Did you know that the Sabbath is not Sunday...or Saturday, or Friday? Did you know that priests are abolished forever? That tithes are gone once and for all time? That the church is a substitute for the real thing? This may well be the second greatest story ever told, the scam of the millenia. Find out where the church came from, and who played this "ace card" in the history of religion, in The Truth Which Sets Free. |
